About CalendarTool
What Is CalendarTool?
CalendarTool (calendar.webtech360.com) is a free, ad-light collection of online calendar utilities covering lunar calendars, traditional calendar systems, and public holiday reference data for countries across Asia, the Middle East, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
We started the project because finding a single reliable place to look up "when is Tết this year?", "what is today's Hijri date in Pakistan?", or "how many public holidays does Thailand have in 2026?" was surprisingly difficult — especially in non-English languages. CalendarTool answers those questions instantly, without registration or paywalls.

Data Sources and Accuracy
Holiday data is sourced from official government gazettes and national legislation. Specifically:
- Vietnam — Decisions of the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (official gazette)
- Thailand — Cabinet announcements and Bank of Thailand (ธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย) circulars
- South Korea — Ministry of the Interior and Safety (행정안전부) and National Assembly legislation
- Philippines — Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines presidential proclamations
- Morocco — Ministry of Interior (Ministère de l'Intérieur du Maroc) official announcements
Lunar/lunisolar calendars (Vietnamese âm lịch, Chinese nónglì, Korean eumnyeok, Japanese kyureki) are computed using the Ho Ngoc Duc algorithm, a well-established astronomical method for determining new moon phases and leap month insertions. Timezone differences mean that calendar month boundaries can differ by one day between countries (e.g., Vietnam UTC+7 vs. China UTC+8).
Islamic/Hijri dates are based on astronomical calculation (tabular Hijri). Official dates in Pakistan and Morocco may differ by 1–2 days depending on the local moon sighting committee (رویت ہلال / رؤية الهلال).
We update holiday data annually and whenever official corrections are announced. If you spot an error, please contact us.
Technology
CalendarTool is a static site built with Eleventy (11ty v2), served via a global CDN. There is no server-side processing for calendar calculations — all computations happen in your browser using vanilla JavaScript.
This means your calendar lookups are private: we never see what dates you look up. The site loads quickly because there are no API calls during page load.
